Adoption Profile: Brad & Heather
About Us
We met in 2004 in Washington, DC when we were set up by Heather’s sister. It was both of our first and last blind dates. We were both very nervous but showed our nervousness in opposite ways: Heather was quiet and reserved while Brad couldn’t keep quiet. We soon realized we were perfect compliments for each other. We hit it off right away and never looked back. We were married in 2005 outside of Washington, DC.
We are responsible, caring, and trustworthy people. Brad is laid back and outgoing while Heather is shy yet energetic. We are both teachers and have coached youth soccer teams. When we aren’t working, we enjoy playing soccer and tennis together. We also love to travel and have traveled to Europe and throughout the Caribbean. We have two friendly dogs that love to be outside as much as we do. Heather also recently took up cake decorating and enjoys making personalized cakes for family and friends at holidays, parties, and birthdays. Brad enjoys playing basketball, reading, and getting together with the guys.
Our Family
Family is very important to both of us. Brad is the oldest of two sibling and Heather is the youngest of three siblings. We are both very close with our families. Brad’s family lives in Maryland and we travel to Maryland to visit his family multiple times a year. Heather’s parents and brother live in the Cincinnati area while Heather’s sister lives out-of-town. We love spending time with our families and they are an essential part of our lives.
Our Home
We built our home in 2009 in a great school district. We live on a cul-de-sac that is full of children playing. We have a large fenced-in backyard that will be perfect for a swing-set. There is a playground and neighborhood pool within walking distance from our home.
