Presented by Gene McClory, Assistant Coordinator, Caregiver Assistance Network, Catholic Charities SouthWestern Ohio and Chris Wright, R.N., Volunteer Facilitator for the Stroke Victim and Family Caregiver Support Group at Drake Center, Cincinnati, Ohio

Although stroke is a disease of the brain, it can affect the entire body. The effects of a stroke range from mild to severe and can include paralysis, problems with thinking, problems with speaking, and emotional problems. Patients may also experience pain or numbness after a stroke. Please join us as Gene and Chris discuss the disabilities that occur after someone has had a stroke. During this podcast, you will hear about the many benefits those who have attended a stroke victim support group have experienced, namely resource information, encouragement, and especially hope.
