About Catholic Charities South Western Ohio

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Catholic Charities SouthWestern Ohio Website. We hope that you find the information at this site helpful. We hope, also, that you will call us if you need more information, want to schedule an appointment, or have a concern to share with us.

Catholic Charities has a long and proud history of service to the community – over 90 years. We were established in 1914 as a coordinated response to the devastation of the 1913 floods. While the services and programs we provide have changed through the years, our commitment to serving those in need has been a constant hallmark of our agency. Our services are open to anyone in the community regardless of religion, race, gender, or national origin.

When I think back on those ninety years of service I imagine the many changes that have occurred during that time. I also think about the one constant that has been part of CSS throughout all our years of service – dedication. Because of the dedication of so many, our agency has grown and flourished. The people who worked here in the past and those working today are truly extraordinary. Whether volunteers or paid staff members, these people dedicate their lives to helping others, either by serving individuals and families directly or by working behind the scenes to keep CSS running efficiently and effectively. That dedication is a powerful witness to our mission.

We could not continue to do the work we are called to do without the on-going support of our community. You, as a member of the community, are vital to our mission. We need your support to enable us to continue this vital work.

If you need assistance from our agency, I hope you will call us and find the care and support you need.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, I hope you find work with us to be a positive experience.

If you want to support us financially, I thank you for the confidence and trust you have placed in our agency.

Sincerely,
Kathleen Donnellan
