Ok, you want to “do something” or you may just feel you need to “give back” and don't know where to start? ... Su Casa is looking for volunteers. Check out the different opportunities available. I am sure you will find one just for you!

SU CASA HISPANIC CENTER NEEDS YOUR ASSISTANCE

• We need a person to help us answer the phones once or twice a week.
• We need volunteers to help us with our Employment Program. The community that we serve needs help creating their resumes and searching jobs online. We also provide assistance completing conventional job applications. We usually provide this service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. If the help is available any other day of the week, we will take it!
• We need a librarian to help us supervise the Library, and to provide assistance to the people that use the Computers. Library hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Tuesdays and Thursdays we are open until 9:00 pm) Hours vary on the weekends.
• We need Spanish Literacy teachers. If you know how to read and write in Spanish you can teach somebody else! We have developed the curricula, we just need you!
• Our social workers are busy all the time, we need assistants for them.
• We need volunteers to increase the offerings of our computer classes. The computer classes are once a week. You can tell us what day it’s convenient for you.
• We need interpreters for our Health Fair (Twice a year). The winter health fair is usually in January, and our summer health fair is usually in July.
• We need interpreters for our Legal Fair coming up on October 2010.
• We will start our Zumba and Step classes in the fall of 2010, if you would like to become one of our instructors, we would love to hear from you!
• We need volunteers for special events, contact us for more details.
• If you have a notary license, we need you. Please provide assistance to our clients once or twice a week.
