13th Annual
Silent Auction & Awards Dinner
The 13th Annual Su Casa Silent Auction & Awards Dinner was held on May 10th at the Cintas Center.
Almost 300 attendees enjoyed a heard a great talk by Bishop Alvaro Ramazzini of the Diocese of San Marcos, Guatemala about the plight of the underclass of Latin America and the challenges that they face.
Three awards were also given out. Sr. Mary Wendeln, C.P.P.S. received the Cesar Chavez Award in recognition of her lifelong work for social justice. Bond Elam received the Volunteer of the Year Award for his long-standing work with the Su Casa Hispanic Center. LULAC National received the Organization of the Year Award for its valuable support of Su Casa and its mission.
Entertainment was provided by the DiFrancesco Trio, a young sibling classical strings group.
Su Casa and Catholic Charities SW Ohio are especially appreciative to the sponsors of the event:
