Tenth Annual Su Casa Silent Auction
Su Casa Hispanic Center and Catholic Charities SouthWestern Ohio hosted the Tenth Annual Su Casa Silent Auction and Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Cintas Center. The event also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Awards Dinner. Former Cincinnati Bengal and NFL Hall of Fame lineman Anthony Munoz was the keynote speaker for the evening. Munoz was the first keynote speaker for the event 10 years ago. Fifth Third Bank’s Gema Bahns was the emcee for the evening.
Su Casa Hispanic Center was created in 1997 to serve the Hispanic and Latino populations of Cincinnati. 320 people from across the tri-state gathered to support the center and celebrate diversity. Children from the AMIS School performed a dance as part of the entertainment.
The award winners for 2009 are:
Cesar Chavez Award: Sr. Margarita Brewer, S.C.
Su Casa Volunteer Award: Ms. Lilian Ortiz
Su Casa Corporate Service Award: DUKE Energy
Beyond Our Borders Award: Ms. Laura Antrim & Mr. Bob Lincoln
