Su Casa - Spring 2008 Newsletter
Su Casa Hispanic Center and Catholic Charities SouthWestern Ohio hosted the Ninth Annual Su Casa Silent Auction and Awards Dinner on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Cintas Center. The event also celebrated the 11th anniversary of Su Casa, created in 1997 to serve the Hispanic and Latino populations of Cincinnati. 340 people from across the tri-state gathered to support the center and celebrate diversity.
The award winners for 2008 are:
* Cesar Chavez Award: Fr. Joe Nelson
* Su Casa Volunteer Award: Mr. Bob Cloud
* Su Casa Corporate Award: Society of St. Vincent de Paul
* Beyond Our Borders Award: Shriners Hospital for Children
Sean Rugless, President of the Greater Cincinnati African-American Chamber of Commerce, was the keynote speaker. Channel 5 news anchor Sandra Ali served as emcee for the evening.
